The selected warning is explicit
The selected Catsan Hygiene 20 L Tesco page explicitly says not to dispose of it in the toilet. Catsan’s UK disposal guide also advises against flushing litter and identifies household waste as the usual route for Hygiene Plus, subject to local waste guidance. This is not a drain-performance test by this site.
A plant material is not a universal exception
The wood listing’s material description does not override a missing exact disposal instruction. Nor does a general biodegradable claim prove that flushing is permitted or that used litter belongs in a council food-waste collection. Material origin, plumbing disposal and waste acceptance are separate fields.
Do not extend a different variant’s claim
Catsan Natural is a different product from this selected Hygiene bag. Any conditional bio-waste discussion for Natural cannot be transferred to Hygiene or Tesco wood merely because all are litter. Keep the exact variant and the local authority’s current instructions together.
Check the local disposal route
Before disposal, read the supplied pack and the relevant local collection guidance. Where they leave a conflict or unlisted route, clarify instead of guessing. The product finder displays the source scope and unknowns;it does not provide a postcode-based approval or certify any waste stream.
Apply the distinction to a purchase
For a council collection question, identify the used material rather than just the empty packaging. A bag’s recycling symbol does not answer whether its contaminated contents belong in that same collection.
