Choose the target deliberately
Suppose you choose a 25 L target of the selected Tesco wood product and already hold 8 L of usable matching material. Those are user-chosen inputs,not a recommended amount for a cat or a monthly use estimate. The reviewed selected purchase unit contains 10 declared litres per bag.
Subtract matching usable quantity
The additional requirement is 17 L. Dividing by 10 and rounding the purchase count upward gives two whole bags,adding 20 L. Final matching stock becomes 28 L,which is 3 L above the chosen target. A 1.7 bag purchase is not assumed to be offered.
Round the purchase count upward
If stock already meets or exceeds the target,the additional order is zero. On the whole-bag basis,both target and held fields must count bags instead. The tool refuses a kilogram or unknown-unit request because it lacks a product-specific mass conversion;it does not count other materials as matching.
Read the surplus and supply limit
The calculation does not reserve stock,approve an unlimited order or predict replacement dates. Recheck the retailer’s current quantity limits and availability before a large purchase. Decide whether the extra quantity fits your actual storage plan and the current label,rather than treating a rounded result as a recommendation to stockpile.
Apply the distinction to a purchase
If only whole bags can be counted reliably,use the bag basis instead of inventing the litres left in an opened bag. The selected unit must match both the target and stock already held.
